Acne laser treatment

Description
Acne is an inflamed sebaceous gland.
Our body contains a large number of glands - some secrete sweat, others sebum. Sebum is very necessary to protect the skin, which would otherwise dry out and get damaged.
Facts
- Cream with anesthetic effect
- Outpatient procedure
- Procedure takes about 45 minutes
- Recovery in 7 days
Acne is caused by the influence of hormones (often during puberty, but also caused by stress, lack of sleep, smoking, alcohol, birth control pills, etc.), when sebum production increases and the gland opening can become blocked.
Bacteria found on the skin (Propionibacterium acnes) multiply in the closed gland and create inflammation. Acne (referred to as acne vulgaris) most commonly affects the face, back and chest.
Types of acne:
- Inflamed glands are called comedones and are white -whiteheads (closed clogged pores) or black - blackheads (open clogged pores).
- They can form small red bumps (papules), inflamed pimples (pustules), or harder nodules under the skin (nodules and cysts).
- Even though every person suffers from some form of acne, aesthetically it is an unpleasant disease.
Acne is primarily treated with increased hygiene and cosmetic skin cleaners.
- More severe conditions require medications to reduce sebum, eliminate inflammation or require antibiotics (benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, retinoids, azelaic acid, etc.).
- Laser acne treatment is designed to remove scars that may appear after acne. The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis, the skin is treated with a cream containing local anesthetics and then the scars are treated with a laser.
After the procedure, small crusts will form, which will fall off by themselves within a week and the skin will heal.
Usually multiple sessions (3 -5) 3 weeks apart are used.
