Face thread lift
Content
Description
A sign of aging skin is the loss of elasticity, reduced hydration and the appearance of wrinkles.
The ideal method with a rejuvenating effect is a thread lift of the face with the application of special absorbable threads that are placed under the skin.
Facts
- Local anesthesia
- Outpatient procedure
- Procedure takes about 45 minutes
- Recovery within 2 days
Special needles are applied to the desired area, which is then lifted (thread-lifting) in the chosen direction. Single threads are inserted at a distance of approximately 1 centimeter (0.5 inch) to lift and smooth individual parts of the face.
A series of threads (4 - 6 threads) thus enables the treatment of specific aesthetic areas of the face.
These threads contain tiny hooks that pull the skin from where they are inserted to where they are pulled out. However, the threads also work by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin (rejuvenation effect).
The advantages of the procedure are its minimal invasiveness, the absence of scars and the possibility of applying the threads under local anaesthesia. The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis and takes approximately 45 minutes.
The results are immediate and last approximately 1 - 2 years.
The procedure is suitable for the treatment of fine to moderate wrinkles (for deeper wrinkles is a classic facelift more suitable).
The procedure is not suitable for patients prone to keloid scar formation and blood coagulation disorder.
Allergic reactions or intolerance to the materials from which the threads are made are rare.
Immediately after procedure swelling and bruising may occur, which will subside after a few days.
Sauna, facial massages and other cosmetic procedures are recommended to be postponed for 2 weeks.
However, the application of threads can be combined with hyaluronic acid and the application of botulinum toxin.
